Ductile thrust faulting and large-scale fold nappes produced when the Archean Wyoming and Superior provinces collided during the Paleoproterozoic Trans-Hudson orogeny. These outcrops along the Laramie River of southeastern Wyoming contain well exposed complex thrusts resulting in interlayering of granitic gneiss and amphibolite.
