8th Annual MUGGS Student Research Forum
8th Annual MUGGS Student Research Forum
Do you have a stressful presentation coming? Maybe you're planning on presenting your research at GSA NC-SC in April or you're already stressed about your senior thesis. Maybe you just need some extra practice presenting research in front of an audience. Well, stress no more because the MU Geological Graduate Society (MUGGS) is proud to host the 8th Annual Student Research Forum on March 16th, 2024 at 10:00 am!
SRF is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to present research in a low-stress, casual environment where they will receive constructive feedback to improve their skills. This research can be on anything that you find interesting! You want to show off what you have been researching with your advisor? Perfect! You want to learn more about the formation of the moon and work on your public speaking skills at the same time? Sounds good to us! This is a great opportunity for you to practice your skills in front of a kind audience.
Abstracts will be due on Friday, March 8th, 2024. Your abstracts can be in any form of media (GSA-style, a poem, a riddle, a cartoon, etc.), so feel free to get creative!
Breakfast will be provided by MUGGS and there will be prizes for the best presentation for Undergraduate students, Master's students, and Ph.D. Students.
Faculty and students are all welcome to attend and provide feedback to our presenters. If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at this email. I'm happy to look over presentations and help out where I can.
See you there!
