Minor in Paleobiology

A total of 15 credit hours are required for completion, with a C- grade or better for each course taken in the minor. The main areas of study are distributed between courses (in order of course offerings) in the Departments of Geological Sciences, Anthropology and Biological Sciences. 

Requirements:

  • Students admitted to the Minor in Paleobiology must have successfully completed either GEOL1100: Principles of Geology with Laboratory or Geol1200: Environmental Geology with Laboratory with a minimum of a C- grade. 
  • Must complete at least 15 credit hours, including the core course requirements in GEOL and ANTHRO, and must complete one lab course. The list of core courses is available in the catalog here

Once a student has completed all coursework associated with a Minor in Paleobiology, they should declare the minor through the Office of the University Registrar by visiting declareaminor.missouri.edu.
